The Drone Threat in America

Drone fired missiles could possibly wipe out tourists visiting the country with no known idea of the cultural belief or any recognition of terroristic groups. The use of drones is not a typical way of carrying out a war with a country and is not how we have understood it. Drone attacks are perfect examples, of pre-meditated homicides. .
"The use of drones is the destruction of infrastructure of a community, and dirties the hands of our nation," says Allyson Mitchell, a graduate student from George Mason University and the School for Conflict Analysis and Resolution. Who is to say an employee working at the Langley Air Force base in Virginia, will not accidentally push a button next to a monitor tens of thousands of miles away causing innocent deaths. Collateral damage includes the killing of innocents, which can be minimized but never eliminated. Even if only the "enemies" are the only living humans destroyed, the buildings and homes of that community in which they live, are destroyed with them. Drones allow governments to achieve military objectives without risking the lives of soldiers, sailors, and pilots. These machines do not bleed or vote, but we should not allow them to destroy so much in return. "All is fair in love and war." Even though this quote is commonly used, it is not very true in the eyes of the Americans. In the eyes of many Americans, the use of drones causing great amount of damage and death to an "enemy" community, is acceptable in war. Yet, if this were to happen on American soil, we would be quick to retaliate. We take the use of drones as an advantage to the United States as a whole. Would you be opposed to saving the lives of military soldiers, at the possible expense of innocent lives? Using drones does mean saving American lives and more money for the United States Government. We all know how tough it is on a community's morale when they have lost a home-town military hero, and this is only one of many reasons why using drones to prevent American military deaths is seen as "acceptable".
