Many people fail to realize that children are practically products of their environment, and thus should be nurtured and educated in the right manner. The research should focus on how parenting may affect children, and thus the findings may allow us to see if positive parenting affects the way a child develops his/her cognitive skills. Positive parenting is seen as a way of raising a child by helping the child develop good cognitive skills and to become a productive member of society. Overall, the concept of positive parenting is approach in the scientific study of healthy human development. Indeed, we can promote positive parenting in the field of healthy human development because the behavior and cultural patterns that an individual portrays in society is directly linked to the type of parenting he/she receive at home. A parent is considered to hold positive parenting skills when they are consistent in discipline with their children. One may not notice that proper parenting not only has positive impacts on adolescents, but also on the way how it prepares the younger generation in parenting their children. It is important to note that the effects of positive parenting are beneficial to adolescents. Overall, the two variables involve in the research will show that for different forms of parenting there are effects that vary in the magnitude of effective parenting. This is why we will only focus on the major effects of positive parenting.
Literature Review.
The effects of positive parenting is important to look at, as it may change the parent's method of raising their kids and may change our society into a more positive and productive one. Positive parenting has a large influence in the development of a child, and as stated by Piaget's four stages of Cognitive development: the way a parent raises a child not only affects the child for the moment but also for a larger part of the child's life.
