Motives of Psychological Needs

Psychological needs are subjective needs that an individual must achieve in order to feel balanced. There are many types of psychological needs that are all particular to each individual. I am greatly motivated to meet my needs of order, affiliation, autonomy, and achievement in my life. Needs are driven by two forms of motivation, appetitive and aversive. Appetitive motivation is when an individual is driven to seek out and have, whereas aversive motivation is when an individual is driven to avoid something that is unpleasant. The difference between the two can be shown by hunger and food. An appetitive motivated person will eat food to enjoy the sensory feeling he gets from the food. An aversively motivated person will eat food to avoid the empty feeling of hunger.
The need for order in my life is a psychological need that, when met, achieves predictability, organization, and symmetry within my life. My need for order is driven by both appetitive and aversive motives. My appetitive motivation towards order is displayed in my life regularly. I meet my need for order with routines because it in turns allows me to enjoy the current moment instead of feeling unprepared for my day or stressed about what will happen. A routine provides balance in my life like: waking up before 8 am, going to the gym before I begin the day to get my blood moving, escaping to the mountains every chance I get, my meet up spot with my friends, and keeping what I own/possess minimal to keep spaces clean and not filled with useless matter. The way I do things through my day is consistent because it achieves my need for order by keeping balance and a general idea of what I can expect. My aversive motivation is not very present in the need for order. I am compliant and accepting with unexpected, spontaneous changes in my life, so to avoid these unknown occurrences is not something to be motivated for. .
The psychological need for affiliation in my life is strong and is greatly motivated by my appetitive motives.
