Some of the challenges that I came across when composing my CDA essay was finding two scholarly sources to back up my argument that was given. I had to read through many articles to find the right one that included the right information to explain my topic as detailed as possible and get the point across to the audience. Many articles that I read over weren't specific enough towards the topic but I soon found two great scholarly sources that fit the topic perfectly. Some other challenges that I ran into was citing parts of the passages in the articles that I used for my CDA essay. I struggled finding page numbers to put down after citing a sentence. I also had a hard time figuring out how to put the articles down on the reference page in correct format but thanks to Purdue Owl I soon figured it out and was able to cite it the correct way. Other than these few problems I didn't have a hard time picking out a thesis or topic to write about based on social media and was able to write an all-around what I thought was a good paper. I also came across many challenges when composing my multimodal text project. When starting my multimodal text project I came across the problem of finding what topic to do my whole project on considering that social media had to tie in with it as well. I soon thought of something that many teenagers would be able to relate to and do today and came up with underage drinking considering that many teenagers drink and are guilty of it. I wanted to inform teenagers how much of a negative impact that underage drinking has on our lives. .
After figuring out my topic, I wanted to get started on my website but didn't know which site to use to create my website. I looked at a few seeing which one was most user friendly and decided to go with Google Sites. It was very easy to operate and more efficient than I expected. Figuring out how to put pictures and make different pages with the website went very well for me and wasn't a problem at all.
