Animal cells are soft and flexible and are supported by the exoskeleton and endoskeleton for protection and support. Another difference is that animal cells are round and irregular in shape while plant cells have fixed, rectangular shapes. this is because the cell wall is very ridge and needs to have a defined shape to support and protect it while it grows.
