Short Story - The Medal Mistake

"We are back for the team awards," the announcer spoke. "The third place team award goes to The Flipsters, the second place team award goes to Above and Beyond, and the first place team award, with a whopping score of 221.25 points goes to The Chalk Lovers!".
Jasmine ran over to the podium and held up the first place trophy. The rest of the team followed to catch a spot on the podium. Ashley and I ran and got a spot on the floor behind the podium. The team photos were held a few minutes after the awards. Ashley and I were barley in the picture, not that it mattered, but I wish I could have one good team photo I could post on Facebook without being embarrassed about. Half an hour after the meet, my brother, James came to pick me up. .
"Hey sis how did it go?" he asked.
"Well, I got 5th place all round, I actually placed 3rd place on bars and I got 5th on floor," I replied.
"That's great! What did that hot Jasmine girl get?" James asked.
"James!" I yelled. "Don't call her hot, and of course she got first place on everything.".
"Well she is hot, and wow she's good, better then you anyways," James said in a joking manner.
"Fine. She is the best on our team James," I replied. "Can we go home now, I am very tired.".
"Sure sis," James yawned in tease.
I went and got my belongings out of my cubby. I noticed there was a sticky note on one of my medals that I had gotten during the awards. The note said that I would be granted three wishes of my choice. I didn't believe in such things as wishes so I threw the sticky note away in the garbage. James was waiting in his truck when I got outside. .
"James, is there such thing as wishing for something and then it coming true?" I asked him.
"I don't know Paige, why?" James questioned.
             "I'm just wondering," I answered.
             "Ok," James said.
