Consequently, the usage of opinion presented the reader how the anonymous had considered about his crime and how proud he was towards it. Through this, the unnamed is trying control people and wants to be the one above all. In my response, the unacknowledged is trying to control something and wants to take over everyone's life.
The persona in "Stealing" portrays an aimless character by lifting items that are useless to him. Likewise, the unnamed is believed to have purloins items of no use, it states that he had steals 'a guitar and thought' he 'might learn to play' this suggests to the reader that the unnamed does not have an objective when he is stealing. This links to how the persona enters the house and describes himself as a 'mucky ghost' which implies to how the persona leaves a mess to inform the people who suffer that he has searched through the house for objects of interest.
The character in the poem, "Stealing", is portrays as less energetic and bored out. In the poem, the persona clearly mentions that he "want(s) a mate with a mind as cold as the slice of ice within my own brain". This presents the persona as a friendless and rather lonely being who seeks to have a 'mate' to support him. However, the persona also mentions that his 'mind as cold as the slice of ice within' his 'own brain' which implies to how the persona is emotionless, thus linking to how he thinks about himself, as an insensitive person. Furthermore, the poet uses a simile in order to emphasise the deep meaning of how the persona feels socially awkward and prohibits the detection of any change. This further signifies to how the persona has no sense which links to how there is no blood in the anonymous, it is to be dead. Therefore, implying to how the persona is internally dead and has no emotions of any kind. .
Moreover, the persona in "Education for Leisure" is presented more evil-minded, when he states that as he "pour(s) the goldfish down the bog" and "pull(s) the chain", he feels pleasure and content for the actions he does.
