Human Needs

Physiological needs are what people need the most. Christians have shown this many times throughout the bible. They had to hunt for food and water in order to live. The same thing happened with the Hebrews. The Hebrews in the Old Testament wandered around for 40 years gathering and hunting which was the only way to live. They Hebrews had to do that in order to live. God gave food to both the Hebrews and the Christians. It was one of many miracles that God did for these people. .
People's safety needs are more complex. People who do not own houses feel unsafe because they have to worry about weather and criminals. Most people in the bible had to worry about wars and weather. The Jews during the Holocaust had to worry about the Nazis killing them and they could never feel safe. They were always running and hiding in horrible places like outhouses. .
People cannot reach the third level, which is love if they cannot have safety. People want to hang out with friends and feel loved by them. People have immense love in religion; people want to feel that many questions can be answered if they believe in something. Some people say that they have receive messages from Jesus saying that he loves them and that he will guide them through life as long as they believe in him. Throughout the bible; for instance, God had many prophets who preached and made miracles happen. Moses got the 10 commandments from God and told the people that it was God's will. Many people changed and decided to become religious and follow the religion. .
The next need is esteem, which is important. People generally have higher self-esteem when they help people. The "true Christians" also did not care about if they were killed because they felt that they would go to heaven anyway. The Jews might have had low esteem because of the holocaust but they have always shown that they could succeed. They had to worry about weather because they were nomads and were always moving around.
