Setting My Career Path in Place

He looked at my mother and said, "Yes Grandma Anything for my gals." I began to laugh because I knew he was referencing the large curlers in her hair. As father was getting ready to head to town, my sister awoke to the same rigorous sun screen ritual I had just endured. A kiss on my forehead, and father was off to town for more supplies. Town was not far away. It was only around twenty miles tell he would reach Bob's Market, a little farm store on the edge of town. .
I loved the outdoors. The smell of pine trees was like cake on my birthday. There was so much to do outside, and so many things to explore. I figured I would start my day off by testing my luck fishing. My father had taught me everything I knew about fishing so I wanted to make him proud when he returned from his task, by giving him the task of gutting my fish. As I approached the water it looked magnificent as it was gleaming in the afternoon sun. The water was a clear blue-green, and appeared to be see-through as the rocks on the bottom where magnified by its beauty. I was not the most dedicated fisherman so I brought my sister along to keep me focused. I held the fishing poles rod out in front of me, and flung it with all my might. Once I had let out enough line I set the rod in Dad's homemade holder, and I sat back to wait for an attack on the lure. I spent what seemed like an eternity gazing into the unknown waters, with no luck of catching the creatures within it. Like many times before, I gave up and took my walk of shame back to camp. .
Back at camp, as mother was making me a snack, the sounds of police sirens began to echo throughout the forest. A man in a police car was barreling straight towards our camp site. The next few moments for the most part remain a blur. The man who was unknown to me, stepped out of the police car, and took off his hat. He began to walk towards my mother with a boggled look on his face.
