However, the Bantu education schools was experienced really hard times in terms of lacking resources, because the government had no care and attention to these schools. According to whites, black people shouldn't have the same opportunities, materials and other resources as themselves. Because whites were superior than blacks thus, they should also have a superior learning system. Therefore the government didn't help at all to the schools that were under Bantu education, because this was exactly what they wanted. Well, because the Bantu education provided segregated and unequal education among black and whites, the government was quite pleased with that. There was enormous difference and inequalities between black and white schools, because the government was paying out much more on white education. In Bantu education schools, there were rather big ratio of students in each classroom comparing with the size of the school, not to mention how ruined school buildings were. Black students lacked teachers and some other essential resources such as textbooks. While white students were having many skilled teachers, all the texts book they needed and a pleased school building. All these inequalities was affecting the quality of education for black students. Well, this was the goal of the Bantu educational system, they were getting that kind of education which was designed to bring blacks under the control of whites in the future, namely working for them. In addition to Bantu act, an another brutal law was formed in 1974; Afrikaans Medium Decree. This law made all black schools forced to utilize Afrikaans and English in a fifty-fifty blend as language of order. Afrikaans was a foreign language for blacks, it was the language of whites in the country. Most of the black students and teachers could not speak Afrikaans but they were forced to do that anyway instead of using their own native language which was English.
