Nikola Tesla - More than a Internet Name

.
This was a monumental moment in technology because it was something that had never been done before and it was all due to the genius creativity of one man, and that man was Nikola Tesla. Although this accomplishment did bring a lot of interest to him, it wasn't until he revealed his new gift to technology that he really became very sought after and people wanted to know more about him. The first biography done on Tesla was done in 1894 after he created the "oscillating transmitter " (McCray 562). People began to gain interest in the man behind the invention and were curious to know more about him. After his first interview he began to do lectures in different states around the United States and eventually Europe as well. Tesla had an amazing ability to impress the audience and really engage them with his electric displays (McCray 562). .
             Lack of Acknowledgement.
Tesla continued to travel and perform lectures all the while his ideas and yearning to improve the world through technology never ceased until the day he died. Tesla was nothing short of a technological genius and although he was well known for his inventions, it still seemed like he never got the proper recognition that he deserved for the role he played in the advancement of technology. However, well after Teslas death is when he finally starts to get the acknowledgement that had always been overshadowed by the bigger names on the forefront of his career as a mastermind of technology. For example when he worked for Thomas Edison and with JP Morgan, their big names took away from his own personal fame and recognition for his achievements, which resulted in him not receiving the suitable recognition and praise he deserved for such complex inventions. His financial position left him unable to afford lawyers to defend the patents for his many inventions, which caused him to lose out on all or some of the many royalties that he was due (Langfield).
