While this seems to be the main issue between them it develops into a bigger issue about love, as the girl begins to wonder whether or not his love for her is real. She starts to think that he may not want the same type of relationship with her as she does with him. It seems that she actually would like to have his baby, and would like to be with him in the future, he on the other hand seems to not want to have anything to do with a baby right now, and might not even want to have anything to do with her if she does keep the baby. In "Araby" a young boy is experiencing his first feelings of love. He seems to have developed feelings for one is his on of his friend's Mangan, older sister. Every morning before school he waits in the front room of his house so he can see her leave her house, and then he rushes out to walk behind her quietly until finally passing her. Although they don't really know each other the boy always keeps her in his thoughts, and is fearful that he will never be able to get the courage to talk to her. When they finally speak to each other and he finds out that she will not got to the Araby bazaar as she wanted to, he makes it his mission to go to the bazaar and get her a souvenir. The girl never asked him to get her a gift from the bazaar, but it could be that this could be a way of him expressing his true feelings towards her. The boy must wait until his uncle is back home to get money for the train and to be able to get the girl something, but he is ver disappointed when his uncle returns late that night. When he finally arrives to the bazaar he is so angered that he got there too late not being able to get the girl something, and the story ends as if the boy has given up on his love for her. Both stories seem to have a total opposite conflict involving love, but in many ways these stories could be similar to each other, and how love can become a conflict in many ways.
