ii. Boxing has been up there when it comes to popular sports. Even with the uprising of its predecessor the "UFC", boxing is still on the rise to this day and main event paper views never fail to sell out to this day. .
B. Not only is boxing entertaining because of its action in the ring but also for its action outside the ring. .
i. When professional boxers come out before they fight they wear their most expensive boxing robes and gloves. They often come out with Celebrities and promoters by their side. .
ii. Professional boxers make a lot of money. Money attracts a lot of sponsors and fan bases. This is one of the main reasons why the sport of boxing is so popular. The most a boxer has every made for a fight was 53 million dollars and that was by the hall of famer Oscar de la Hoya. .
Transition: Now that we have discussed the entertaining aspect of boxing, I will now go over how it gives children the chance to get away from their problems. .
II. The second reason why the sport of boxing should not be banned is because it gives children the chance to get away from their problems. .
A. Boxing gives an opportunity for children who have had troubled past and who live difficult lives to get away from reality and release their anger in a positive way. .
i. Troubled children have it hard and long for something that can fill their voids. Boxing is a good opportunity for them to talk about their problems and release their anger the right way. .
ii. If a child has an opportunity to box I believe they should do it. According to the Bureau of Justice 86% said, "Other kids picking on them, making fun of them or bullying them causes teenagers to turn to lethal violence in the schools". .
