The Dogs of Communication

All communication between the criminals is based on time. Whether they should flee and run or if they should wait in the safe house until the heat is gone, is all being analyzed given the amount of time they think it will take for them to do either of both options and not to get caught in the process. This is also an example of environmental factors, another type of nonverbal behavior. According to the concept of Chronemics, it is the use and perception of time of nonverbal communication that defines interaction.
             Second Concept.
Second, I will analyze is Conflict orientations. This concept evaluates individuals attitude towards conflict. The Basic orientations are win-win, lose-lose and the win-lose situations. Through the movie, the criminals are considering their possibilities of escaping alive as the situation keeps escalating; thereby they participate in one of the different orientations when communicating to each other. I think it is the win-lose orientation that has the most presence in the movie. It happens when each one of the thieves tries to win at the expenses of the other person. Win-lose situations tend to terminate relationships because someone has to lose. This concept has clear part in the movie scenarios; criminals adopted a win-lose approach to each other so conversations started to escalate in aggressiveness until at the end all that is left is conflict between each other and no solution.
             Third Concept.
The next Concept I will evaluate is the difference between I-language and the you-language. Effective communicators take responsibility for themselves by using language that owns their thoughts and feelings. The main differences between I-language and you-language are that I-language takes responsibility for own statements while you-language projects it in onto another person.
A clear example of you-language takes part in our film. This type of language is used by the criminals in the warehouse when looking for the rat in the group.
