I will try to tackle in the next few pages what I think it is a major event of the XXI century, a clash of titans I may say, a slumber, ravaged Russian "Empire " that seeks to recover from its centenary sleep and on the other side a divided alliance trying to put back the pieces that once made it the equal of its enemy and by now you might have guessed to whom I refer, NATO. This is not an apocalyptic scenario, on the contrary is the very time we are living nowadays, for Edmund Burke once said, "Those who don't know history are doomed to repeat it" the secondary point or question I am about to ask and answer myself in this paper is that if we are ready to make the same mistakes and if Einstein was right saying that we don't know with what will the Third World War be fought with, but the Fourth World War will be fought with sticks and stones.".
As a veritable boxing match, a proper introduction is in need to define who is against whom, also we might need to look at their stats, however we can't do this yet as neither of these two would admit that they are ready for a confrontation. Nonetheless I will still give it a shot and if I started with the Russians I will give it a go again. In the Eastern corner of the map we have a vast region that upholds the name of the Rus population, a country of a mixture of populations stretching over two continents that has fallen into disarray after the death of its architect, Iosif Vissarionovici Stalin but as everything there is in Russia it changed from Ioseb Besarionis Dze Jughashvili to what we know as Stalin yet his Georgian roots are of no concern to us, the important piece of puzzle is what he left after his death a succumbing empire similar to the fading Western Roman Empire at his end, a population living in lush, greediness, gluttony with the main production coming from outside its "borders " more specifically from the puppet states, a so called empire that could just not uphold the stress of a liberal economy after the '91 crisis.
