            As a country, Canada has had many positive changes throughout its history and one man who made a significant impact on the country was Prime Minister Mackenzie King. King made many tough decisions towards harsh problems that Canada faced throughout the beginning of the 1920's to the late 1940's. Whether it was a riot or a drought, Mackenzie King was there to support Canada and try to make the best decision he could to fix the problem. He helped Canada through many different issues such as, economic, war, and cultural problems. Without Prime Minister Mackenzie King, Canada would not be where it is today. He made many things possible for Canadians all around the country. Today, Canada is known as a strong independent country, rather than before, when Canada used to be known as a part of Britain. By the Prime Minister's strong-minded attitude, he was able to change many things about Canada in a positive way. .
             Mackenzie King started out as Canada's first deputy minister of labour in 1900, allowing him to grow stronger as a politician and focus on manufacturing issues and industrial relations in Canada. Over the years he became more well-known and grew towards the spot of Prime Minister. King was Prime Minister on and off between the years of 1921 and 1948. While being Canada's Prime Minister for 22 years, he completed many accomplishments that would bring Canada to a new stage in its life. Citizens all around the country had many different views about King, but most agreed that he was much needed during the hard times that Canada faced. Prime Minister Mackenzie King was a successful politician and contributor towards Canada's government. He made a significant impact on Canada by creating many social programs and policies, getting the country out of the great depression, and by making Canada known as a more independent country. .
             Prime Minister Mackenzie King made an impressive impact on not just one province, but the entire country.
