Remember that employee will be communicating on this issue and the accused may be amongst them, so these allegations should show a positive outcome for whatever the evidence shows (Toliver, 1997).
Take Necessary Corrective Action.
Elora and Company call not be afraid to take the action that the evidence call for and that are in line with our policy. Remember that both parties have rights under the laws and they both have to be respected. It is important that we have a punitive plan in place during the notification phase so that the accused understand what could be the outcome for the displayed behavior. Likewise the accuser will be held accountable for filing an unwarranted or false claim, this will provide a level field on which to levy the decision of the counsel. .
Employer Responsibilities.
Today, most workplaces have policies and programs as a proactive measure to combat sexual harassment. These policies benefit both the employees and the employers. They give the employee a clear message about what behaviors are not acceptable and what course of action to take if he/she experiences sexual harassment. On the other side, preventing sexual harassment in the workplace can save the company millions of dollars (Petrocelli and Repa, 1999). The course of action that our organization should have taken was one of exploratory, where the accusation are looked into and the accused is warned that his behavior is being perceived as sexual harassment and the action must stop. This action would be useful for the purpose of showing that an action was taken however it seemed that the employee only want the action to stop and they would not have found the need to proceed to a higher authority. .
