This rise has led to an increase in different purchases, such as homes, cars, and consumer goods. The luxurious goods in India are climbing to an all-time high, which is a big reason that everything is increasing, the more luxurious goods, the higher the consumer rate, the higher the consumer rate, the better off India will be in terms of consumerism. .
             There are several changes that lend itself the rise in consumerism in India. There are a lot of variables that are to be considered; personal needs, values, personality, socio-economic status, social influences, and society in general. These different items all combined are all the factors affecting consumer behavior. Geography also is a major influence; the location of the consumer explains the process of the consumer. In South India technology is more advanced therefore, the sales of more technological based items are sold down South rather than in North India. Some of the cultural influencing consumer behavior is the buyer's culture; the consumer's role in buying product is the biggest influence on behavior. India has so many different cultures which only make the marketer's job tougher to deal with. .
             Some of the influences on the many different cultural factors and buying behavior would be color, size, shape, design, and cost. The Tata Sumo which was started in India in a shade of white was not well accepted, however when the same Sumo was launched in a different color that was more cheery and bright and renamed Spacio, the acceptance rate was much, much higher. India looks at technology with the view of "the smaller the better" however, in rural India that is not the case at all. Social practices are different exhibits in cultural differences, the males making decisions, and different saving patterns. .
             Socialites are the upper class in India; they like to shop in special stores, go out, and buy luxury goods. They go for the value in items, and exclusiveness in what they are buying.
