Everyone went to Indian Island because of the tantalizing, and deceptive ways in which they were invited. Some did it for money, some did it to get the feel for fame, and some just went for a free summer holiday, but they never really suspected anything was going to go wrong. It isn't until the ten guests hear accusations of crimes that they committed on a mysterious recording and see an old nursery rhyme about different ways you can die that they realize what their fate will soon be. Agatha Christie's novel "And Then There Were None- displays how a persons curiosity may lead to their demise, how people react to accusations of crimes of their past and how someone can be motivated to kill due to a disturbed conscious. .
"And then the letter had come and at the top was the stamped address Indian island, Sticklehaven, Devon (Christie 3)."" Each guest was sent an invitation to Indian Island which was the "news- at the time. Their curiosity as to why Indian Island was so famous at the time and their need for gaining some kind of profit took priority over their safety.
