Barry Bonds and the Baseball Hall of Fame

 

            The famous baseball player named Barry bonds who has Hall of Fame numbers but didn't make it into the Hall of Fame due to the fact of steroid use amongst other players who were involved in the steroids era in the late 1990's. Before the use of steroids he was an all star as well as multiple gold glove winner. He was in the MLB for 22 season he played for teams such as the Pittsburgh pirates and the San Francisco Giants. During his days with the primates he wore the number 24 but when the San Francisco Giants went to the san he wore the number 25. Barry Bonds was facing a perjury charge due to his involvement in steroids .

             This year, Barry Bonds has been on the hall of fame ballot for the 1st time and didn't get inducted to the Baseball Hall of Fame with only 36.7% of the people's vote. In order to get into the baseball hall of fame you need to reach 75% in voting. This year no player was elected to the Hall of Fame. That includes players such as Barry Bonds, Curt Schilling, and Rodger Clemens. It's shocking to see that these players with achievements such as 7 Cy Young award winner as well as 7 MVP awards won by Barry bonds. The thing that prevents Barry bonds from being in the hall of fame is that he has been linked with the use of steroids for most of his playing years. He claims he has never knowingly tested positive for steroids. .
             Barry bonds went to court behind his supposedly steroids use as well as perjury charges, he was found guilty for obstruction of justice. While in court he was asked if he received drugs that needed a syringe he replied saying "I became a celebrity child with a famous father." That makes no sense because how is a person going to give such an irrelevant answer to question. He should have come clean about the steroids use. Later on he said" I didn't knowingly use steroids". How are you going to say you never knowingly used steroids. Most athletes are very cautious about what is going into your body.
