They are not educated about contraceptives; as it is a third world country there is very limited health care. Therefore AIDS is also spread largely through blood transfusions for victims of car accidents or acute malaria have a high risk of getting AIDS as they do not have the money for the blood screening. Another factor is normally the girls infected will not know that they have the virus as it can be silent for several years, so they will go on to have children therefore passing on the virus. The other main cause of spreading AIDS is through drugs as in many poorer countries around the world the drug users can not afford to buy new syringes/needles therefore they share syringes/needles as they are unaware of the risk of contracting the deadly virus.
The way in which SARS was spread was very different from AIDS as the people who spread SARS were actually unaware of the situation until further investigations had been made to describe how SARS was caught and spread. The Main way that SARS was spread across the world was via air travel as people were in confined spaces and also travelling to another country in which SARS would spread even more. SARS was first spread through a hotel in Hong Kong where several people were infected and all were travelling to different countries therefore taking the virus with them. The other difference with AIDS is the fact that SARS was fairly quickly controlled, as after they had written reports about the symptoms and worked out how it was passed on they immediately started putting people in quarantine therefore reducing the higher risk of it spreading. SARS is the same as AIDS they have not yet found cure for it but SARS was kept under control whereas AIDS has now been going around for many years and will continue until they find a cure. .
One of the major reasons for these differences is the fact of where the viruses are mainly found. .
As you can see from the map above that AIDS is mainly spread in Africa, South East Asia, USA and South America.
