As a member of a population within a nation that is within a vast world, I participate in many daily functions of life that affects the world's economy. Living in a democratic state allows for my own further growth as an individual involved in world politics. In other words, my participation and contributions to this sector of the world is continuous. Throughout this paper, I will unveil and discuss my newly discovered relation with world politics and its systems of power. .
. I represent a large number of nonstate actors known as substate economic actors because of my current role as a consumer in the world's economy. Consumption is one of the ways I am involved in world politics. As a consumer, I frequently but unknowingly purchase goods that are designed or made in countries from around the globe. This in itself is one method in which I have helped to disperse some economic wealth among countries worldwide. The countries from which I purchase these goods are benefiting from my consumption as the businesses for which they work are increasing revenues. As businesses make profit, those who manufacture the products increase their profits as well. As a consumer, I have the ability to choose from whom I will purchase products. I base my decisions on labor practices as well as the types of materials used by the company's manufacturer.
