The article called "African American Mother" signifies that racial prejudice is a form of corruption of human rights. This type of discrimination is based on one's unjust and immoral understanding about the racial differences. The practice of this prejudice leads to a cruel and egoistic mistreatment towards the African Americans.
In the age of Jim Crow racial inequality was one of the struggles that African American people had to tolerate. They also faced a social issue of segregation. It was prohibited to step a foot on the white man's land at any time. The African Americans had to deal with such problems as buying a house, going to the park, or even going to church. The public places did not want to be shared with the black people. Discrimination caused a lot of frustration and unhappiness to those people. Leading successful lives was impossible because the African Americans were deprived of full rights and justice.
Racial prejudice, stereotype, and hatred were introduced to our world because of the feeling of superiority. Experiencing this state of favorable position over other people results into segregation and discrimination. A person's skin color or race does not define their true qualities and values, therefore it is morally wrong to judge other people by their origin. We have to put to racial equalities and human rights into action because we cannot make each other suffer by having power and control over one another.
