Jesus' Coming to America

They were not allowed to help the environment by making it easier for people to recycle and protect the Earth.
It was getting late and He was dumbfounded about what to do for this city. Jesus finally got fed up and decided to call it a day. He checked in to the Ramada Inn where there was a bottle of water waiting for him in his room. This is exactly what He needed after a day of walking in the heat and humidity. He opened the water bottle and took a long gulp, then realized the trickery that was used to get him to do this. In small print read, "If you open this bottle you will be charged three dollars". What jerks they were to leave the water in His room and then say He has to buy it. He did not ask for this bottle; this hotel room wasn't a gift store. Jesus finished his expensive water then decided to turn on the evening news to get some insight as to what people are going through and what they care about.
The main story on the news this night is a fight about our children's education. Governor Mike Huckabee wants consolidation; some of the residents and educators feel differently. Governor Huckabee and his supporters feel that it will save money to combine school districts and reduce operating costs and overhead. Residents and educators who do not agree feel that consolidation would result in larger classrooms and fewer teachers per student ratio. This would not give our children the attention and education that they so deserve and need. Jesus does not want to get in this fight. It is pulling our children back and forth and no one can decide on what is right for them, so they will just have to duke it out until they can come to a decision that neither side will be happy with. They are also debating on putting the children's body mass index on their report cards so their parents will be aware of their children's weight problem and seek help. People are worried about the privacy of their children and apparently do not want to be told the obvious in writing; they can see it in the mirror and in their kid's plump faces and immobile bodies.
