Bandura

 

            In this article Bandura gives explanation on how social learning theory examines behavior through the construction of effects by events. He implicates that cognitive factors in part determine how external events will be perceived. According to Bandura, social learning perspective involves a constant interaction between environmental influences, cognitive, and behavioral. This is why he believes that environment is what influences behavior; but Bandura goes on to say that the environment is built by a person's own imagination. The other strong point that Bandura made was that of the internal personal factors. He explains that behavior also distinguishes as determinants of one another, and how these interpersonal factors trigger various types of environmental reactions. At times different environmental circumstances may exercise an influential restraint on behavior. He believes that this may be the reason why behavior surfaces as the dominant determinant. Bandura gives an example of the man who plays familiar piano songs, so he could to produce a pleasant musical environment for him self. This example backs Bandura's theory on environmental conditions; it displays how he brings up the idea about self-regulation and evaluation of activities, where he states that people do not care about how they do on tasks that have little significance or is irrelevant to them.              With the evidence provided I think Bandura gives a strong support to his opinion. He explains his theories well and gives strong examples to reiterate his point. I did not find any conflict with the evidence he provides.
