Human Cloning

This furthers the argument that the value of human life is lowered. By having family created or recreated, this allows people to hold onto things for purely selfish reasons, instead of putting their faith in a higher power. It is also an asexual act that goes against the whole story of love and the creation of life. The creation of life is one of the most important blessings that God has bestowed on human beings. On the other hand, the creation of a clone originates from single-sex families. Because of this single sex beginning, it is necessary that the clone be raised by that very same sex of its origin. Therefore many clones would be raised in nurseries and laboratories instead of in a home or by a family environment. .
Because human clones would be raised in a special environment, they would cease to be human beings and would become objects. These objects would in turn be exploited in commercial uses. The clone is a goal of someone else's experiment. It now has a shadow to line up to. The surprises that a new life brings would be lost because the clone already has its life outlined for it by its originator. It would also create some serious psychological issues where the person the clone comes from would also be the mother or father for the clone. It can be argued that the genetic distinctiveness symbolizes the uniqueness of each human life and the independence of its parents that each human child rightfully attains (McCuen, 58). The value of a person would switch from what they can contribute to not only his or her family, but also to society as a whole, to with cloning be whether or not the new person exhibits the proper characteristics. The clone itself would also have social issues to deal with as well. He or she would be harmed by the fearful or prejudicial attitudes people have towards them. They would also have demands and expectations placed on them by the parent or genotype donors.
