Our society is bombarded with advertisements. These advertisements could be a positive thing because it keeps us informed about fashion and technology. But, for the most part it is a negative thing because our society intends to judge people after looking at the advertisements. Therefore, people feel insecure about their bodies. And, this has lead to anorexia in many younger girls and boys. .
Everyone has a different identity, everyone has a different personality, and everyone has a different body image. For example, cheerleaders are known to have the perfect body with perfect thighs and waists. But, this does not make the other girls with other body image different. It has been identified that if a girl is a little different from the perfect body image for cheerleaders, she will not be selected for the cheerleader camp. Our society believes in advertisements and expects all the people to look like them. But, in my opinion everyone should get a chance and shouldn't be judged because of their body or there appearance.
Our society is very similar to the comic strip "My Body". In that comic strip the author "Vicky Rabinowicz" explains the readers that we should feel great about our body and do not change it by putting make-up or dressing up like a celebrity. If we do have a different body image, we should try to except it and not regret it. For example, if a girl/boy who is not so attractive were being called for a job interview, he/she wouldn't probably get that job because of their physical appearance. Our society would place physical appearance first and second would be the abilities that the person contains. Our society should understand that physical appearance cannot make a person perfect; all that matters is the beauty within.

Nowadays, the youth is being pressurized by the society. The society expects that every person should be very similar to the models from the commercials.
