The Seventh Sign

The movie entitled "The Seventh Sign," had many good points. However it lacked much Biblical accuracy. It was mostly a Hollywood interpretation of an apocalyptic situation. It also combined Christianity with superstition, as well as giving the impression that a single person could stop the apocalypse.
It begins with some of the signs that deal with the warning of the end times, including the sea dying and the worldwide confusion. .
The movie continues and deals mainly with the seven seals that are to be opened during the apocalypse. The seven seals are first mentioned in Revelation 5 : 1 and mentioned until chapter eight. It went on describing the colored horses that appear after a seal is broken and their representation. .
The first seal was the white horse, representing the declaration of war, Revelation 6 : 1, 2. The war was mentioned in the movie. The second seal, a red horse, was a banishment of peace and cause of anarchy, Revelation 6 : 3, 4. This one was not clearly pronounced in the movie besides during the explanation of the seals. The third seal, a black horse, was something pertaining to lack of food and inflation of food prices. This one was not shown clearly either. The fourth seal, pale horse, war and famine, was also not shown. .
The fifth seal, deals with the plot of the movie. It pertains to martyrs of God. They are told to wait for their brothers in Christ to all be martyred also, Revelation 6 : 9-11. In the movie, the main character stops this from happening and apparently stops the apocalypse. For some reason, the faifth seal comes in the movie after all the others.
The sixth seal, Revelation 6 : 12-17, is portrayed in the movie literally. It involves earthquakes and the sun turning black and the moon turning blood red. .
The seventh sign, Revelation 8, was apparently avoided due to her heroism. During this ordeal, the "guff" is mentioned. Never in the Bible is the hall of souls mentioned nor the baby born with no soul.
