Directly after the attacks of September 11, US President George W. Bush declared a doctrine stressing the use of violent defensive actions towards any state that harbors or supports terrorists (John King). The Bush administration attacked countries like Afghanistan and headed a coalition to hunt down terrorists. .
President Bush's administration suspected that Iraq possesses weapons of mass destruction. They also assumed that Iraq will use those weapons on US targets or supply them to other anti-American terrorist organizations and rouge states (Justin Thomson). Based on these unverified assumptions, the United States headed a coalition and attacked the sovereign state of Iraq. .
In this essay, I will argue in support of impeaching and incriminating President Bush, the master mind behind this invasion. President Bush has violated important amendments in the US Constitution. He violated the Equal protection clause of the US constitution. He bribed threatened and intimidated other states to support the war effort. As head of state, he violated the Numberg Charter (a charter that specifies war regulations) by conducting attacks on civilians. He started the war without congressional approval or any valid evidence that Iraq violates international law or threatens world peace. No evidence of weapons of mass destruction or links to terrorists" networks were found.
I will use those points to complete my argument. I will provide evidence supporting my arguments.
George bush has violated Article 14 of the United States constitution which provides, that "no state shall make or enforce a law which shall . deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of laws" (US constitution). This amendment is also known as the Equal Protection Clause. The application of this clause controls the legitimate and equal treatment of various classifications based on race, gender, economic class, and other attributes.
