             As the movie progressed, more and more pieces of information were added, some facts, some possibilities. As the people processed this information, they slowly changed their votes. Additionally, speaking about quantity of information, it is relevant to quote the experience we had within the learning community last Thursday. Because of lack of information, people analyzed the paragraph read from different perspectives. The question is, it would have been easier if we had more information or parameters to rate each character??.
             7. You must go beyond the surface of an issue to know what is really going on.
             One the surface, the case sounded very cut and dry. A poor, abused boy finally had enough mistreatment and retaliated against his father. The fact that he argued with his father earlier that day and bought a knife, made him look very guilty. However, when the jurors dug deeper, particularly Fonda, they discovered there were a lot more possibilities than the one presented by the trial.
             8. It is hard to admit you are wrong or may have wrong motives.
             Some of the jurors kept resisting the fact that there was "reasonable doubt". It appeared as if they just did not want to admit that they could be wrong. Some of them wanted to believe the worst about the boy and had a hard time admitting he might be innocent.
             9. People process information differently.
             People's thought processes are affected by a multitude of things; their background, current state of mind, physical surroundings, who they are with or without, consequences of the decision, etc. Some people are more emotional as opposed to rational thinkers. All these factors influence the decision they might make. In the movie Lee J. Cobb, the last gentleman to change his vote, was applying his personal situation with his son because the defendant was a very young man. He was imposing his feelings towards his son to the defendant. .
             10. External conditions can influence directly or indirectly the quality of a group decision.
