Terrorism is on the minds of everyone in this nation today. It is also more prominent in the minds of people all over the world as well. Since the attacks on America in September of 2001 many people have wondered why terrorism is so intense that it would come to America. Many claim that the attacks on America are clear indicators that there is a powerful rise in terrorism. We forget, however, that terrorism is a reality that has been in existence since perhaps, the beginning of time. People all over the world have been experiencing terrorist attack after terrorist attack for many decades. Because the United States was hit does not automatically indicate there is a rise in terrorism. But, if we consider the speculation that terrorism is on the rise, around the world, we can perhaps find many reasons for this reality.
Each and every region of the world that experiences terrorism experiences it for various reasons. The reasons for terrorist attacks on the United States may well be far different than terrorist attacks on Israel or India. People may argue that religion is always at the bottom of the cause, as well as the increase, but religion is not the only possibility, and it may well only be a facade for far deeper issues. For example, overpopulation and unemployment may lead many to become involved in terrorism. And, desperation on many levels may be the cause of terrorist activity, from the perspective of the common soldier following the terrorist leader. .
As we can note, there are perhaps many reasons for terrorism, and many reasons for a rise in terrorist attacks. Bearing this in mind I present the following paper, which further indicates that there may not be an increase in terrorism, from a global perspective, and if there is, it is due to many conditions and spurred on for various reasons. In the case of America, however, again the reasons are numerous, although the primary reason for attacks may well be due to our greed and our lack of respect for other cultures.
