Normally, most of these long waves leave the Earth and zoom into space. However, this thick atmosphere makes the waves bounces back to the Earth and so heats the Earth up even more. The pollution is mainly in the form of emissions that are released by automobiles, houses, factories, or other device that we need to have or use in order to "live".
What are the effects of Global Warming .
Global Warming, like almost any other topic on Earth, has its positive as well as its negative sides. The positive side includes longer growing seasons (for us in Canada), warmer waters, and uselessness of clothing. If Global Warming continues, Victoria will have the climate many islands in the Caribbean or Hawaii, and that seems to be enjoyable. We would also have longer growing seasons because of the warmer weather and thick clothing will not be necessary anymore. However, there are also many disadvantages of Global Warming in the world's point of view. First, though Canada will probably have a longer growing season, many other parts of the world where it is already very hot will become even hotter and there will be no crop yield there. Second, there will be a vast increase in deserts as well as a vast shortage of water. Third, an increase in Temperature will cause the Polar ice caps to melt and so vast flooding around the world will occur (Vancouver Island will cease to exist). Many of the Earth's natural disasters, such as volcanic activity, and other factors, have caused our planet's atmosphere to become either colder or warmer. The global average temperature of the surface has increased by one degree Fahrenheit over the past century. This indicates that this warming trend is due to human influences. Heat becomes a huge factor in the health of humans and other animals, especially the elderly or sick. Incidents such as heat strokes, exhaustion and diseases increase drastically as the heat does.
