Henri Matisse

My Famous artist is Henri Émile Benot Matisse. Matisse was born in December of 1869 and dies in November of 1954. This means that my artist was living and painting 49 years ago. My artist was born in the town of Le Cateau in Northern France and dies in the town of Nice in Southern France. The name of my painting is Nasturtiums with Dance II. It was painted in the year of 1912. The medium my artist used to paint this painting was oil on canvas. The subject of my painting is dancing. Two other paintings that I have seen by my famous artist are titled: Music and Madame Matisse.
¬ Music. 1939. Oil on canvas.
Madame Matisse: madras rouge. 1907. Oil on canvas. ® .
The name of my painting is La Danse with Nasturtiums. My painting takes place in a dark blue room with a plain red chair off to the side. There is a simple little table in the middle of the room holding a large bright red vase. The vase contains a type of plant that has circular yellow/green leaves and on the tip of each stem there is an orange flower with a yellow center. Around the little table with the vase holding the plants there are four nude people holding hands and dancing freely.
As I was flipping through the huge folder titled "Mattise- this painting was the only one that immediately caught my eye. What first interested me were the nude people dancing because they just seemed free. As soon as I saw it I said to myself, "this is my painting."" this painting made me feel weird inside like it has a deeper meaning, more than just dancing. No other painting caught my eye or interested me like this one. .
"My art is not of the intellect. What I dream of is and art of balance and purity, of serenity devoid of troubling and depressing subject matter, and art that which could be fro every mental worker- for the business man, as well as the man of letters, for example a soothing calming influence upon the mind, something like a good armchair which provides relaxation for physical fatigue.
