Soft drinks are something most everyone can enjoy. Many people just drink one kind, one brand, or even one specific type. The choices of flavors are astounding! As many flavors and brands of soft-drinks as there are, I bet that many people today would be surprised to find out that Pepsi and Coca-Cola own the rights to most of them. These two brands are very similar, yet different on many different levels. .
Pepsi and Coca-Cola both have very distinct flavors. Pepsi has a sharp taste that is more intense, Coca-Cola has smoother, soothing feel to it. I think that Pepsi is more for people who like very sweet drinks and that Coca-Cola has a more relaxed and kick back feel to it than Pepsi. I prefer Coca-Cola when I am lying around and Pepsi when I am eating something sweet.
Coca-Cola has a large amount of fizz, I think that it has more fizz than any other soft-drink. Pepsi on the other hand does not have near the amount of fizz that Coca-Cola has so it is a little easier to drink. Coca-Cola drinks are more likely to spew than Pepsi drinks because of the fizz so I would recommend Pepsi if you get a drink out of a vending machine.
As different as these two products might be, they each bank and copy the others success. Look at this list of each companies counterparts: Mountain Dew=Mello Yellow, Dr. Pepper=Mr. Pibb, Vanilla Coke=Pepsi Vanilla, Pepsi Twist=Coke with Lemon, 7up=Sprite. I could go on and on with this list, but I think that the point was taken. Pepsi and Coca-Cola may be different brands, but they offer consumers the same things with slightly different tastes and names.
Pepsi and Coca-Cola are so different yet so similar. They each have their individuality even though they are so alike. Many other companies have tried to copy the success from these two, but none have been triumphant. It seems that no other corporations can top these two, Pepsi and Coca-Cola. .
