"Abolition of the Electoral College".
Abolishing the Electoral College would be the best for our country. In this way we would all have an equal vote. Even though politicians think it would be reckless for the vote only to be a popular vote. But how this country first started, it had said in the Declaration of Independence, "governments are instituted among men." The government receives its power from the people. I am 100% for the abolition of the Electoral College.
Everyone's vote should be worth the same no matter who you are or in what position you"re in. All votes should be equal to win fairly. Because the way they have the electoral votes set, if you win the popular votes it really doesn't matter. Basically the candidate would have to win the electoral votes to win, because of the fact that the electoral votes are worth more than the popular votes. In this case what's the point for use to vote if really it doesn't make a difference on who we vote for.
The politicians think it would not be right to let it be a popular vote. They don't know any better than we do. This country had begun after the Declaration of Independence they were fighting for rights for instants "all men are created equal with certain rights; the government receives its power from the people, as well as the people have the right and the power to dissolve the government. "Once the constitution came out, Amendments were made for the better of the country. But the Electoral College isn't necessary because what's the point of all men are created equal if were not because we all don't have equal rights.
They should abolish the Electoral College because of the fact that it's not a fair vote. Popular votes don't count as much as electoral votes. We all should have equal rights especially choosing a president to run our country. It would just be the right thing to do to abolish the Electoral College. In that way are votes would really make a difference.
