Martin Luther

Through out life there are many important people who believe in something that is very significant to them. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. is a perfect example with his famous quote "Our scientific power has outrun our spiritual power." This quote supports the idea that it takes more than scientific perception to make it through life; one has to firmly believe in a higher power or religious figure to help them make it through the ups and downs that life throws at them.
This quote "Our scientific power has outrun our spiritual power" has very meaningful explanation. Dr. King is trying to say that the focus has changed from emphases on a spiritual figure to emphases on science and technology. With this being said 30 years ago, and seeing what the world revolves around today, which is computers, and technology Dr. King was very right when he said, "scientific power has outrun spiritual power." .
An example of this would be when the black out had a huge effect on the world. Everyone's lives revolve around science and technology and when there was no power people had to stop completely; and some of America was immobile due to the lack of power. Where as a God or higher power has an individual effect on one person, not half of America. .
The lives of people today are fast paced and most people don't stop and think about what they believe in. Therefore I agree with the meaning of this line said by Dr. Martin Luther King. .
