            Technology has changed the way we live our lives today. Over the past fifty years, new technology has been developed to further reduce our workload, increase our entertainment and provide better means of communication. Computers are one of the most popular pieces of technology today. Many people and companies have them because they reduce the amount of work to be done. For example, businesses used to balance their books and calculate by hand, but now, using the computer you just need to enter the numbers, hit a few keys and presto its done in a fraction of time. The TV is another popular piece of technology. It provides entertainment and helps to pass the time. In the past people used to watch live plays to provide them with entertainment, but since the TV was invented, entertainment at home has become more convenient. The cell phone is yet another popular piece of technology today. By allowing people to communicate over large distances from anywhere, it is a very useful piece of technology.
             When going on a camping trip and incase of an emergency and there are no phones near by, having a cell phone can be a lifesaving piece of technology. These are only some of the many pieces of technology today that is changing how we live. Technology is growing very rapidly, who knows what can be achieved in the next fifty years. .
