There are many types of religions and governments today from dictatorships to republics and Christians to Buddhists respectively. Many are interrelated or have the same foundation; like the Calvinism and Capitalism epitomize this relationship. Calvinism is a religion which was started in the time of the Protestant reformation which started in early 1500s. Capitalism is a type of government in which the people with authority and power stay there while the people on the bottom end of society stay at the bottom. Calvinism and capitalism are related because both spawn from the same idea.
Calvinism is the branch of the protestant religion which was started by John Calvin during the Reformation. The schism of European Christianity was made even larger as the Reformation spread through out the continent. Calvinism is a Protestant theological system which emphasizes the weakness against predestination. Basically their beliefs say God "elected" some people to be saved while all others were condemned to damnation and a person's destiny was determined before birth and it cannot be changed.
Capitalism is different from capitalism in the sense that it is not a form of religion but the idea behind both is the same. Capitalism is an economic and political system in which a country's trade and industry are controlled by private owners for profit. In the economic system the production and distribution of goods depend on invested private capital and profit making. Basically, capitalism is a system in which the rich get richer and the poor get poorer while the bourgeoisie also known as the middle class stays the same.
