The Harmony of the Sexes

"A good marriage is one which allows for change and growth in the individuals and in the way they express their love." This thought by American novelist and Literature Nobel prize winner in 1938 Pearl Buck (1892 - 1973) portray what most couples should have as a compass to follow in their married lives. Their roles as lovers, friends, companions and parents are all equally important. In none of these areas they should allow any kind of sexism influence their duties as human beings. With that in mind, househusbands deeds should be the same because this way they will respect each other more, balance their lives, and teach their kids a better way to face relationships.
First of all, when a couple decides they will look at each other on the same level, you"ll find something crucial in people's relations: respect. Naturally, you see a person as mix of qualities and deffects not considering his or her sex, you avoid the stereotypes that lead very often to prejudice and pointless arguments about who should do what or not without much explaination why it should be that way. It will raise the respect and adimiration to a horizontal line.
Consequently, this new way to face the other half of the marriage will strengthen the realtionship because it will bring harmony as you understand that we are all imperfect and we can make mistakes. Instead of arguments full of anger and egocentric points, you may find space for being open enough to express your feeling and thoughts. Therefore, you increase you communication skills which will build up confidence and comprehension not only within the union, but also among their children.
As soon as you change your way of dealing with the marriage situation, you will see that children will soon be afected by these modifications in the parents's behavior, specially when they are taught to do the same: listen, uderstand, respect. As a result, they will share the responsabilities with a fair judgement, based on the abilities and convinience for the family structure as an unity to work, and not because they are expecting the other person to do it.
