"On Tuesday morning, September 11, 2001, American Airlines Flight 11 took off from Logan Airport Boston, Massachusetts. The Boeing 767 departed at 7:45 on what was to be a regularly routed trip from Boston to Los Angeles, California. It carried 91 passengers, nine flight attendants, and two pilots. At some point after takeoff the plane was hijacked. Although the actual events that took place within the airliner are unknown, it is suspected that the five hijackers took control of the plane, and at 8:48 AM, they deliberately crashed it into the North Tower of the World Trade Center between the 84th and 85th floors." I had talked to her two nights before and she was telling me how wonderful New York City was and how she spent all day walking around the city. So, to my knowledge she was still in New York City when the terrorists attacked. I don"t think I have been more frightened in my life than I was that moment. I .
was in the office of my high school the whole day trying to contact my mom. My calls to her cell phone would not go through, so of course, I was about to lose it.
