Laughter, the Best Salesman

I have chosen to compare two commercials that use humor to market their product.
The first commercial I have chosen is a Snicker's candy bar commercial. The commercial starts with a shot of a football game, in which a player has just been brutally tackled to the ground. The coach, referees, and medics rush out on to the field, and crowd, concerned, around the fallen player. As he comes to, the player tries to assure his coach that he's still fit to play. The dialogue goes something like this:.
Coach: Son, do you know where you are?.
Player: Sure, I"m in New York.
             Coach: Who am I?.
             Player: You"re the coach.
             Coach: And who are you?.
             Player: (dramatically) I"m Batman!.
Coach: Maybe you should sit out for a while.
             Player: No, really, I"m Batman!.
As the player sits on the bench, you see him unwrap a snickers, and take a large, caramel dripping, bite while the narrator says, "Not going anywhere for a while? Grab a Snickers!" The commercial ends with different scenes, depending on which version is being played. One version ends with the injured player leaping around the sidelines using a towel as a cape and yelling, "To the Batcave!" Another version ends with him asking a fellow teammate, "You look like a good citizen. You could be my assistant. Would you like that? Would you like to ride with- (dramatic pause)-Batman?".
My next commercial is an old "Got Milk?" commercial. It starts with a scene of a man on a cell phone, walking down the street. He's dressed in an expensive suit, and has the air of a Wall Street big shot. All the audience hears is the last line of his phone conversation as he snaps, "Well, guess what? You"re fired!" He starts to laugh cruelly at the person he's talking to. Unfortunately, the man chooses this moment to step off the corner into the busy street and he turns just in time to get of glimpse of a bus before it hits him. In the next scene, the man is standing in a big white room that is furnished with a white table and a huge white refrigerator.
