In the Vietnam forest, they have quite a bombardment and many of the soldiers get injured. Forrest runs all the way out of the forest, forgetting all of the people that he has left behind. When Forrest gets out of the forest he looks around and sees no one. This is when he remembers Bubba. Tom Hanks" startled and shocked expression shows how worried he is. Forrest later on meets the President for the second time and react in exactly the same way as he did before. He does not understand how important the President is. Forrest then gets dismissed from the army and invests in a shrimp boat business. He is doing this to follow Bubba's dream.
