Seasons change because they are supposed to, but the Nazis don't change because they are supposed to, they change because they want to. The author, Ruth Minskey Sender, highlights the change of seasons to reflect the change that occurs in the Nazis. The seasons graduate from fall to winter, spring to summer and people graduate from babies to kids, from kids to adults but while the process of change for the season stay the change, people can change from babies to nice kids but then to evil Nazis. Season can't change severely while anyone during the holocaust can admit, the change in the people who became the Nazis were tremendously severe. The one thing everyone must also remember is that while people are different, the four seasons remain the same. .
In the book, The Cage, season is reflected as something that changes the same way, no matter how life is going. Ruth questions, "How can the sun still shine?" when she sees the sun shining during a hard time during her life(39). How can the weather be perfect when so many people are dying? Mother Nature cannot prevent buds blossoming. She cannot prevent cold snowy nights during the winters but an inspirational speaker like Hitler can change the way many people think and act. .
There is a form in which seasons change. There is a core format: first spring then summer then fall then winter. First plants are born. They live their life, die in the fall and winter, then the next cycle begins. Also, each season has a certain characteristics: for example, summer is sunny and warm. But there is no core format for humans. Humans don't have to die when they are old they can die when they are babies. Humans don't have to have a core and in each stage of being a person, you don't have to have these certain characteristics. Some people can be evil Nazis while some can be nice hardworking people. The one thing that makes this important is that there doesn't have to be a core format on how Nazis have to act.
