This is a comparison and contrast of differences between living at home and living in a college dormitory. The differences will be compared and contrasted in the following paragraphs to show the likes and dislikes of each environment. There are three key differences from living at home and living in a college dormitory: availability, meal choices, and the most important factor is your privacy. These are the things that are bad about the dorm that makes me appreciate home more.
The first difference that will be discussed when comparing and contrasting living at home and living in the dorm is your availability. What is mint by availability is your access your friends have to bother or disturb you from studying. When living at home your friends have less access to your such as the phone or computer. When living in the dorm they can knock on your door at anytime they like. Some other problem with the availability of the dorm is if your trying to avoid someone they can easily find you without even trying very hard. When living at home it makes it easier to avoid those people.
The second difference that will be compared and contrasted between living at home and living in the dorm is eating habits. When living at home you tend to snack less because you are more active and you have more time to eat nutritious. However when living in the dorm you tend to eat a lot of snacks because you are too busy to eat healthy or do not have the means to prepare a healthy meal. What is mint by not being able to prepare a healthy meal is that you do not have the storage ability to keep nutritious food by not having a large refrigerator or a stovetop to cook on. .
The third and biggest difference between living at home and living in the dorm is your privacy. The first issue with privacy is you cannot have a personal phone call without someone interfering where as at home you can lock your own room door or go in the bathroom to talk.
