Macbeth thinks for ages about the deed, but Lady Macbeth makes sure he does it by making remarks such as, "And live a coward in thine own esteem," Which means that she can't believe he won't do, he is a coward a wimp she is saying I would do it but I am a woman. ... Lady Macbeth pushed Macbeth into doing by saying, "And live a coward in thine own esteem," Also things like are you a man or a mouse. ...
Hie thee hither, That I may pour my spirits in thine ear And chastise with the valour of my tongue All that impedes thee from the golden round, Which fate and metaphysical aid doth seem To have crowned thee withal." ... The manner in which she wants to manipulate Macbeth in is also shown when Lady Macbeth says she wants to "pour my spirits in thine ear". ... (1.5.71-72), basically ordering Macbeth to murder him in their own house. ... This shows that she knows Macbeth will not murder Duncan on his own. She takes matters into her own hands ! ...
