This is evident in the filing of Chapter 11 lawsuits by corporations profiting from NAFTA, against governments. These "investor-to-state" lawsuits, established through NAFTA's Chapter 11, gives corporations the ability to sue governments over acts that diminish a corporation's potential future profits (Global Exchange. p.2).
