1. Character vs. Character
The poem "What You Are Doing Now" by Gary Hyland, is a very peculiar poem. The character is "you" and the poem is about what "you" are doing now, which is reading the poem. At first, "you" dislike the idea of reading a poem, and then "you" begin to really like it. But then, "your" teacher tells "you" to write an analysis of the poem, and suddenly, the poem is not so nice anymore.
