This book has an attention grabbing plot driven story, and often times expresses issues that are most likely taking place in the world today. ... By the time Alex and Nadia were using their spirit guides to travel through spiritual caves and up giant cliffs, I was ready to just turn to the end of the chapter and get back to the real issues of the story. In the end, I thought that City of the Beasts was an exciting and entertaining book that at certain points got too caught up in a fantasy involving giant beasts. I would recommend it as reads to other people, but only if they like more fantasy...
