1. Prejudice in the Novel Snow Falling on Cedars
Throughout the novel, David Guterson uses the trial for the murder of the local fisherman in order to show exactly what racism and prejudice can do to a person. Many characters throughout the novel saw that Kabuto is was a man of Japanese descent and immediately dismissed all of the evidence proving him innocent and immediately discussed their feelings toward the Japanese by saying that Kabuto was guilty for committing the murder.
