1. Industrialization
For most countries the amount of people living in urban areas almost doubled during and after industrialization. An example of this rising urban population is England. Before the industrial revolution England only had around 25 percent of the population living in the cities, but during and after the industrial revolution it rose to almost 55 percent of the population living in urban areas. Also in Germany and Prussia their urban population in 1816 was 26 percent and by the end of the revolution it grew to around 50 percent. ...
